Birthdays fanfare gets reduced year after year. But not for me...in fact, my birthday celebrations get bigger and bigger. Especially with km in my life right now....he just can't stop spoiling me. However, km has made a disclaimer that this is tentatively the last bday blast i will get coz too much will naturally kill the fun. I agree. =)

It so happened that the wkend of my bday, I had an immense amount of work to do. I almost thought that I was not going to have much chance to celebrate my birthday. Thank God some of my deadlines were postponed and I could afford to stall some of my work.

I felt even worse when none of my friends made the effort to schedule a bday outing with me! Their seemingly nonchalent behaviour got onto my nerves and I started ranting to km that it's only natural when people start forgetting birthdays as we grow older...and sadly even my dear gfs from st nix...hahaha..I added that at the end of the day only my family cares about me. My mum said that she would celebrate my bday if none of my friends planned any activities for me. I felt consoled, thankful in my mother's love, yet at the same time disappointed with my friends. To add to the birthday blues, km had to attend his church friends' wedding in the day and hence, I thought the day would go by painfully.

Little did I knew that Km had planned a surprise birthday for me by emailing all my friends and told them to downplay my bday. However, one blur cock, jeremy accidentally sent an email on Friday which gave some hints that something was going to happen on my bday itself. That made me a little happier.

Km rented a Suzuki Swift over my bday wkend and drove me to our first secret destination. To my surprise, he drove me to Jelita-a place which I said I wanted to visit some time back. We had a quiet romantic dinner at Friends which we had one of the nicest steak and pasta=). After the delightful meal, km and I made our way to the parkway. While my back was turned and giving km a hug down the escalator, sneaky friends of mine (namely jeremy, cynthia, ben, belle, shu, eileen and keith) pounced out of no where and screamed 'happy birthday!'. I got sucha huge shock that the sound of my screams reverberated the entire cold storage supermarket! Freaking hilarious! Friends handed me a mega huge birthday balloon with a beautiful braun buffle wallet attached to the bottom. Felt extremely exhilarated by the entire situation!

We then proceeded to Wine & Company at Evans Road. That was when another spoiler person, poh hwee sms-ed kelvin to say that she had just arrived. I was really happy to know that km had also invited my favourite gfs down for the celebration.

Having to see all that all my friends had gathered to celebrate my bday -kel, jeremy and gang, Ford, and the St nix girls: ph, mag and reina, was simply overwhelming and touching. Pat and hoi , thanks for the gift and well wishes too.

What was the most suprising and shocking of them all was that Kel bought me an N81 Nokia handphone! I had been telling him that I intended to get myself a new hp but couldn't afford one at the moment. Apparently, Kel had liaised with my parents on the change of phone plans etc. and arranging to buy the hp with my mum. I was extremely shocked and thrilled because I've never imagined my parents to be part of my bday surprise!! Really really caught for words. I mean my parents aren't easy people to deal with...and for kel to make sucha huge effort to go through this..it's really unimaginable. Love deeply!!!!!!!!

After the celebration, I was just too excited to sleep. I slowly unwrapped and admired all the beautiful presents I had received so far.

A huge ass balloon!

A meaningful book all the way from Melbourne! Thank you joyce. =)

Moisturizer and Eyeliner from Clinique. All thanks to my sister who dotes on me forever.

Wallet from jeremy and gang, Agnis E Tshirt from the st nix girls , hp from km, cards from gfs and colleagues and a Red sketch books from colleagues as well.
Tremedously blessed by the Lord with the love of family, bf and friends. Thank you for making my bday a fabulous one.

Ooh yea! birthday week and I can already smell it!

Family planned an early birthday dinner this evening at M Hotel, Cafe 2000. The food was absolutely fabulous! We dived in for the buffet and it served fresh scampi, prawns, cray fish, sashimi of all sorts , satay, dessert (even had green tea ice cream!), sundried tomatoes (nicely marinated) and salad. We each got to choose a main and I had a nice juicy steak. Mum also had some special discounts and my meal only cost 22 bucks!

First present received from sis- Clinique lotion and eyeliner (worth about 100 bucks)
Totally a neccessity for me and I hinted really loudly that i wanted them. yays!

I'm already feeling happy.

Praise Him. Another testimony ....I passed my CPA exam thinking I was 90% sure I was going to fail it! Sometimes you just know that you're going to fail. Not that you've got no confidence. It's like confirm plus chop ur going to fail because each component of the paper required 50% passing mark and I was so sure I was going to fail the accounting part.
With favour and blessings, the Lord brought it to a pass.
Happiness and praise.

Thank You

Having not eaten any good quality food for the past few weeks, Km and I went to Sushi Tei Paragon this evening for dinner. The restaurant was packed with people and we were blessed enough to find ourselves seats at the sushi counter. Right beside us was a Western couple with their adopted indian/hispanic daughter having dinner. Whilst Km and I minded our own business, we noticed the western lady kept starring at, well especially me. I noticed that she was observing at everything I did- from ordering my food, mixing soya sauce and wasabi for km, chit chatting, etc. Just when I was waiting for my jap paper steamboat to come to a boil, the lady striked a conversation with me. We learned that they were from Finland and had been living in many parts of Asia for work , including Singapore, Malaysia and HK. She jokingly blamed her hubby for having to travel so much, but all in all, their family and her marriage were a truely happy and blessed one. She was also particularly surprised to learn that I'm 24 years old and working (k, I look young suppose). She even had the impression that km and I were married! (I dono how come ...sheeshhh..we've only been tog for 1 year and 1 month to be exact).

Offering little snippets of her life, she advised on how marriage is never an easy journey and she made the stupidest mistake of marrying at the age of 21. hahaha...

Anyhow, here's the biggest surprise of them all- before leaving the restaurant, she drew out a $100 note and placed it on our table! She said " here, I do not know how much your meal cost but let me pay for your dinner and please do not reject me..because this is for Your Love (for each other)!" Km and I were just shocked beyond words! She left in a jiffy and although km gave chase to pass them our namecards for future contact, we just couldn't find them in the end.

Seriously, I was a little speechless after the whole incident. It's really like...money dropping from the sky. Unbelievable. I don't know why, but maybe I have a feeling she saw something about herself in me. I seriously can't tell. It's not luck I would say , but rather, a manifestation of His blessings. That I am unexpectedly favoured by others around me despite not knowing them! All because Him. Thank you Lord:)

It was our first year anniversary on Thursday (20th March)...how time flies. It just seemed like yesterday when we were just classmates at SMU. Argh..I'm quite shy to even say this. hahaha..Anyhow, we went to the Singapore flyer and had a spectacular view of our island. I'm also glad that Km loved the little photo msgs I did for him and the Braun Buffle belt I got..just in time for a sharp look at his new job at Deutsche Bank. We did spend some time recollecting how our rlp even started...funnily, except for some really obvious moves...we kinda just forgotten everything in the midst of all that has happened till where we are right now.Whatever it is, thanks for all the support from the Lord and our friends=) Cheers!
